We pick you up from your accommodation around 09:00/09:30.

After 40 minutes of driving we stop at a village for 20 minutes to visit a Berber house which belongs to a widow.

We will see how us Berbers (the Amazigh) live and how we organize our homes and our lifestyle.

We will explain to you how we prepare our food, how we cook it, and the utensils we use.

And then the owner of the house shows us how moroccan mint tea is made.

We will also see the domestic animals we keep for milk, eggs and meat.

Afterwards, we continue the journey and on the road we make three more visits to  three different feminine cooperatives:

  • an authentic pottery workshop where you can make your own pottery that you can keep as a souvenir.
  • a women’s argan oil cooperative where you will see how argan oil is made from A to Z.
  • a rag cooperative we dive into an ocean of endless choices and endlees creative authenticity.

The representative of the cooperative explains us the different matterials berbers use to handmake their rags knot by knot and the significance of each of the symbols and motifs embroidered in the each rag and the story of each one of those.

After the visits we arrive at the Ourika valley. We park the car and continue on foot with a local guide to visit the waterfalls (1 hour round walk )

After the Waterfalls we return to the restaurant at the river where you can eat your lunch with your feet in the water. Afterwards we return to Marrakech around 5-6 p.m.
