Marrakech medina

Marrakech’s old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Narrow streets, lively markets (souks), palaces and mosques make the medina an emblematic place.

The Marrakech Museum

Housed in the Mnebhi Palace, this museum exhibits traditional Moroccan works of art, textiles, jewelry and other historical objects.

Bahia Palace

Built in the 19th century, the Bahia Palace is a magnificent example of Moroccan architecture. It is famous for its lush gardens, inner courtyards and exquisite decorations.

El Badi Palace

Although now in ruins, El Badi Palace was once a sumptuous palace built in the 16th century. Its vast gardens and immense courtyards still make it an impressive sight.

Saadian tombs

These tombs date back to the 16th century and were rediscovered in the early 20th century. They house the tombs of members of the Saadian dynasty, with magnificent decorations.

Koutoubia Mosque

Built in the 12th century, the Koutoubia Mosque is Marrakech’s largest mosque. Its emblematic minaret can be seen from many parts of the city.

Marrakech ramparts

The ramparts surrounding the medina are another testimony to the city’s defensive history. They also offer panoramic views over Marrakech.
